Does anyone know of a way to install this as a standard user on Windows 7?
It always wants to run as Administrator which will not install for the standard user, but the admin that gives it credentials. EDIT: At the very least possibly a way to manually install this? I can mess with permissions after the fact if I need to. Last edited by dpasanen; 18-01-2012 at 13:11. |

Well, I was able to manually get this installed.
Had to copy some files after installing as an admin, and modify a registry key under HKCU for the standard user. I've attached what I used and how I did it (see README.txt inside the zip) I used CurveWorks 1.3 for Corel X3 this could easily be modified for other versions. I put the User Workspace folder in C:\Users\Public so that the registry value would be the same for anyone that wants to run it. This can be changed too, just copy it somewhere else and modify the .reg with notepad. Also this is for Windows 7 x64 but could be set up for 32-bit by simply changing step 1 to go to Program Files instead of Program Files (x86) Hopefully this helps someone else some day... |
