Default Toolbar icons

Hi,

does anybody know, where the customized toolbar icons are stored?
If I export a workspace, they are not included.

The actual button icons, captions, tooltips, etc are stored in a file called CorelDRAW 11 GlobalItemProp.cfg (in Draw 11) or CorelDRAW 10 GlobalItemProp.cfg (in Draw 10) which is stored in the current workspace folder (usually something like: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Corel\Graphics11\User Workspace\CorelDRAW11\_default).

The only reliable way of sharing workspace I have found so far is to ship the whole workspace. You create a new workspace in Tools>Options dialog, then do your customizations, and then distribute the workspace files.

For example, if you create a workspace called "MyWorkspace" you will have a file called MyWorkspace.cw_ in the workspace root folder (...\User Workspace\CorelDRAW11) and a new sub-folder created (MyWorkspace) which will contain the following four CFG files:
  • CorelDRAW 11 Bar.cfg
  • CorelDRAW 11 Docker.cfg
  • CorelDRAW 11 GlobalItemProp.cfg
  • CorelDRAW 11 ShortCutKeys.cfg

There may be some INI files in the folder also, such as CorelDRAW.ini and FiltMan.ini. Do NOT distribute those files because they contain your system-specific information (like paths, etc) and will most likely not work on another system. Those files will be regenerated by CorelDRAW when needed.

Anyway, buy copying the .CW_ and the four .CFG files inside your workspace subfolder you will copy the whole workspace to another machine. You will only need to activate the new workspace on the target machine through Tools>Options dialog.

I hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply, Alex.
Strange, that's what I have done. I also made a copy of my customized GMS-files. The workspace works well, but there are none of the icons... :?

What version of CorelDRAW do you use? If it's CorelDRAW 10, make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed. This problem was fixed in the SP1...
