Cool Run-Time Error

Hi all, can someone help me solve this problem?

I have been using Calendar Wizard for a week or two now and often I get this error message:

Run-time error '2147417848 (80010108)'

Please see image attached...

I am using CDraw 12 with all patches, It seems as though its only on my computer, I installed on another computer but error never came up...

What must I do???

Yes, that's an interesting problem. I never saw this before. One obvious thing that comes to mind is trying a full reinstall of CorelDRAW. It might be time consuming but could at least give a chance of cleaning the installation. Try uninstalling the application, cleaning all the user data for CorelDRAW, then install again and install the serivce packs.

Finally install Calendar Wizard and see if the problem still happens.

Oh, before you do that, try launching CorelDRAW with F8 and reset your workspace. Maybe something as simple as that

Hello Alex

Thanks for your reply, I will try the last option first or just live with the problem as a full re-install will just take toooo much time.

Hello again...

If I open with F8 pressed, will the CWizard Workspace still be available or do I have to create it? If I do, how do I do that??

Well, your workspace will be reset, but you can either go to Tools>Customization>Commands, select "Macros" in the dropdown list, then dragging the Calendar Wizard item from the list onto a toolbar.

Or you might just reinstall Calendar Wizard and it will re-add itself to the workspace.

Where did you get SecuriDesign 1.2? The current version available from this web site is 1.3 and it seems to work fine. At least I followed the tutorial and didn't have the error you experienced in the video. Just download and install the latest version.

As for your problem of the two contours appearing on the "wrong" side of the curve, it's just the way you create the circle. In the tutorial, when I created the circle I drew it from top left corner to the bottom right. You did it from bottom left to the top right. This changes the direction of the ellipse and hence the meaning of positive and negative offsets...

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your swift reply, to such an old post. Also, please accept my apologies for taking so long to get back at you.

I would not know why the version I have is 1.2, as opposed to 1.3?

When I asked the organisation why this is the case, I was told that a charitable fellow provided it. Maybe he found a cheaper but older version of it? I would have to find out exactly, if ever I see him.

As for the "wrong" side of the circle, thank you for explaining that I now get them on the right side of the circle.

Out of curiosity, how much would it cost for an upgrade from 1.2, to 1.3?

Kind Regards,

isa
