Default How to remove extra nodes from a curve

I have a smooth curve which has way too many nodes for no reason. Is there a way to clean it up without actually deleting the nodes one by one manually?

Default

Use "curve smoothness" at v12 or "reduce nodes" at v13...

Those are activing in the node editing...
