Maybe something like the attached would be useful? I conceived it for folks who want to create only one set of CMYK plates for multiple orders of business cards.
I have no coding, this image only. Jeff |

Jeff, are you looking for coders? The main problem I see here is, how to set the resulting page up. This would depend greatly on the output device capabilities. Maybe the best way would be to give options for X(N-up) x Y(N-up) and give gutter and spacing options like Alex's CropMarks macro. Maybe you could use that macro and extend it to incorporate your new ideas.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for your interest. The idea was to create a new multi-page document, then use Draw's usual impositioning to set up for whatever device to be used. So, after running the macro, the user would find themselves with a new multipage doc. But... I think I'll drop this idea for two reasons; 1. Only very busy shops would use this. This kind of setup can still be done manually anyway with cut and paste. 2. Card orientation and bleeding are a serious factor. Oh well, just throwing out a dream. :-) JD |
