Default Import Page Only

Hey everyone!
This will probably be an easy question for someone, but I can't seem to get it!

If I have my script importing a file (.cdr), and the file has information/objects inside and outside the page... how do I make the script import only the information in the page? Is there a way?

I have no trouble making my script import a file, but I only need it to import the contents of the page, not the whole document...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
B

alas, the only way is to open it as a separate document and then transfer objects via clipboard or by SaveAs with "current page/selected only" into a temporary document and then importing it

Default Outside page....

Couldn't you just import all of objects, then delete any that are not on the page?

Default argh...

hi os... thats not the info I wanted to hear! hahaha

shelby, to try and make a long story short, i have objects in templates outside the page... if I make a page two... I'm importing the template again and it puts all of that info around the page, in the document again right over top of the existing info!

i know it's a trivial, minor thing, and the easiest thing is just to remember to delete the other info before importing... but I was just curious if there was a nifty little way to do it using VB!

thanks for the info guys! Always appreciated!
