Is there any way to make a boundary around a text object or any type of object in Corel draw 11. We make rubber stamps on a laser engraver and would like to cut the object out on the laser machine. We need a hailine outline around the object to cut it out. It would be nice if we could take an object and apply a boundary to it and leave lets say .050 of an inch around the extents of the geometry. We could just make a rectangle but it really has to be closer to the object profile. We would then like to arrange them on the sheet close together to save space. Is this possible?

Take look at this macro: http://www.oberonplace.com/vba/drawm...cropmarksh.htm
It can create a rectangle around the selected object(s). However it doesn't allow for a small gap you need. However I guess you can use the Contour tool to create an offset rectangle with the gap you need. Or the macro can be modified easily to create the bounding rectangle with the specified gap. |

This looks as though it may get us a start. i guess it wont follow close to the object but at least make a rectangle at the center of it. Thank you for the reply
