Lightbulb Mesh tool

Hello, i am new here.

I have some questions about the mesh tool. I make icons... i usually have the zoom in quite a bit, around 400 some times 800 for real detail. The colors come out great but when i zoom out the lines look really splotchy. why is that?

Thanks alot
Lisa

Lisa, what version are you using? If you are using X3, then the answer could be the screen antialiasing issue. If you change between anormal view and Enhanced view, you will notice a difference. It is only in Draw though. Save back to a previous version and see what it looks like or export it to a PNG and see if the issue is still there.

BTW, I'd like to see some of your stuff. I'm just getting into skinning myself and am really interested in the topic.

i am using draw x3.. (its me,,, i changed my username)

i checked the view settings and its enhaced with overprints. i changed it to enhanced.

another question..... sometimes when i add a node and a mesh line the line is aqua and the highlight is aqua. then i have to change it back to the color i was using. could that be the view also.

ill try it out in the enhanced view and the normal view and see what happenes.

thanks alot for the info.

just tried using the mesh tool and adding a white highlight and when i zoom back to 100% it still looks jagged. i had it in normal, and enhanced.

Lisa

Default Mesh

Would someone shed some light for me as to why when i use the mesh tool (x3)my colors look bad. if i have a shade on one side and a shade on the other where they meet isnt a nice smooth transition.

thanks alot

Try selecting all the mesh nodes and convert curves to lines and see if you notice any improvements...
