Default CD11 stopped responding to mouse wheel

Hi all,
I have an old Windows 98 machine with CorelDraw 11 on it.
At some point in time, CorelDraw stopped responding to mouse wheel. No zooming and no scrolling.
Other apps zoom or scroll fine.
Any ideas of what it could be?

Thank you.

The mouse can be configured to do other functions, though the configuration method may vary between versions.

Try Tools : Options : Workspace : Toolbox : Zoom or if you don't have those poptions go as far as you can and look around for an option that mentions either mouse or zoom.

Or pressing Z (zoom tool) may help until you can get the mouse wheel back.

Thanks for the reply.
I have looked at Options but could not find anything useful.
Here is what I have in Tools > Options > Toolbox > Zoom, Hand Tool:

Mouse button 2 for the Zoom tool:
(*) Zoom out
( ) Context menu

Mouse button 2 for the Hand tool:
(*) Zoom out
( ) Context menu

[ ] Use traditional zoom flyout
[ ] Zoom Relative to 1:1

"Calibrate rulers..." button

I tried changing these settings but it did not help.

I can get around the page with zoom and hand tools but it's just not the same.
I found that mouse wheel is working inside the Options window to scroll through the items. But it does not work at all in the workspace (drawing) for either zooming or scrolling. A puzzler.

It might be worth reinstalling the mouse driver -- though check with the manufacturer's web site in case there's an update available.

Failing that, do you have another mouse you could try? Obviously, the scroll wheel on the current mouse is working, but there might be an obscure incompatibility.
