I work in CorelDraw X5 but my other colleagues are comfortable with X3. Is it possible to make a code that simply saves the document in corel Draw X3 instead of X5. I mean a macro that just saves the file I am working on in X3 without giving any options for renaming, it just overwrites the current file.

Os has a macro that will always save to a specific version, or it can always save to the source version. Meaning if the file was created in X3, it will save back to X3. Here is a copy of it.
To set the version run the CDRSaveSetup, if you enter 0, the file will always be saved back to its source version. If you entered 13 the file would always be saved as a CorelDRAW version 13 file. You will then want to make a shortcut icon to the CDRSaveASVersion and use this for saving. It should do the trick for you. -Shelby |

Any possibility for this to work in 2019~2022 etc? Or know of similar... Would like for it to save as current & duplicate but in version X4 possibly adding "_x4" at the end of the filename to differentiate? Need to send files for a remote cnc router (old), PC is Win8, cannot upgrade. Selecting the version is sometimes forgetful and have to go back. Thanks!
