Hi. How can I draw a curve followed by another curve with a sharp point between the two and without leaving the pen drawing mode. For instance if i have to draw 'B', how do I get a sharp bend between those two curves?
Rephrasing it, how can I make a node cusp while still in the pen drawing mode? I know thats a simple thing but I am unable to do so. Last edited by madhur; 31-07-2006 at 07:13. |

With the pen tool active hold 'Alt' and clicking a node should toggle between smooth/symetrical and cusp.
The thing I'd point out here is that unlike other programs I'm familiar with, you can't click + drag to see the effect. You 'Alt'+ click to toggle the node type and then 'Ctrl' + click to manipulate the node. Holding 'Ctrl' will give you shape tool capabilities to manipulate nodes and bezier curve handles. To resume drawing your curve from the last node click the node you want to continue from and continue your curve. Hope that helps. |
