Fill Problem

My colleague is sometimes having trouble copying fountain fills from one object to another. This is an ongoing problem for him. It's not all objects though - only some. When I looked at his file I noticed that these object's fill when viewed in the Object Properties docker did not match the fill that was showing on the screen or that appeared when selecting Fill Tool > Fountain Fill (F11). They are completely different, and it's the fill that's showing in the Object Properties docker that is being copied (the wrong fill).

We work with X6 and we suspect it might be from importing cdr files that were created using older versions of CorelDraw. Perhaps the fills aren't coming through properly. As soon as we go into the Fountain Fill window and make even a tiny change such as slide one of the colour blocks a little, the fill is updated and appears properly in the Object Properties docker and issue resolved but this is quite labour intensive for us sometimes.

I was going to upload an example file to demonstrate but it's 334kb which is larger than the allowed size for cdr files.
