AtisicMediaGroup shape can't break?

Hi, if a shpe's type is cdrArtisticMediaGroushape, How to break it into a curve and group of shape.

I try shape.BreakApartEx , but it does not work,
Why?
Anyone could show me a little hit?

add both shapes (control path and media effect) into a new ShapeRange object, then invoke its .BreakApart or .BreakApartEx method

I use wrong method ,should be Separate method instead.
