I'm working now with Corel designer 10. It worker great, but now I've some questions, maybe that you know the answers.
If I set the "Context menu bar" ON ( Options > Workspace > Costomization > Comand Bar > Context menu bar), I see the menu. But when I close the POP-up menu with the OK-button, the menubar will disapear again. Do you know how I cacn use the "Context menu bar" ? If I save my workspace (all items ON), and I want to reload them on an other computer then I lost all my Icons from the VBA-macro's. That's a pitty, because that is the buittons these operators will click on. Now I've about 30 or 40 macros and I have to install it on 7 or 8 computers. Do you know with file these information is stored in, or how I easely can put all the Icons on the richt places ? To be honest, I'm beginning to be worried how to install a costom setting on 8 computers. The nicest thing would be that I change the "C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel DESIGNER 10\Workspace\Corel Designer 10\_BootDefault", and have everything standard. I don't know how to do it Yet. I'm thinking about copying "C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\<user>\Application Data\Corel". Help me please. Thanks in advance, |

Do you want to know how to customize it or how to move the customizations to another computer?
They should be included in the files from the previous post. When you copy those files it brings over all your customizations except saving your general settings like undo. |

Regarding the context menus, those are the menus which appear when you right-click something in the document. There are quite a few pop up menus that appear depending on the object type you clicked. For example, the menu that appears when you right-click a rectangle is different from that of a bitmap.
You can customize any of those menus. For example, if you want to customize the popup that appears when you right click a blend, then go to Tools>Customize>Command Bars, check "Context Menu Bar" and you should see a floating menu with three items "Workspace", "Tools" and "Selection". Now go to Commands, and find the command which you want to add to the menu. Let's sat it's "Convert To Bitmap". Locate the comamnd in the dialog (you might want to show "All Commands" and use the find button to locate the Convert To Bitmap command). Once found, drag the command to the floating menu into Tools>Effect Selection and place where you want it to appear. Now close the customization dialog. The floating menu bar disappears (this is normal). Now create a blend, right click it and now you should see the Convert To Bitmap command on the pop-up menu. |

Dear Click101 and Alex,
Thanks Alex. Now I can understand why the bar is gone when I click "OK". It really opens new posibilities for me. Click101 I want to work with a group of Corel Desiger 10 users (8 users). Now I want to set standard files on the network like presets, symbols, templates etc etc. This way I know for sure that we all use the same files. And I want that Designer standard searches for that directory on the network. If you can think of problems or solutions that I will cross, let me know please. For now, Thanks again. ![]() |
