Default Options for integrating .Net and CorelDRAW

I've been searching around on integrating .Net and CorelDRAW for awhile and didn't know if someone could clear up a few basic issues up for me.

Ideally, I'd like to make a C#/.Net program that would function (as far as users are concerned) exactly like a VBA macro -- toolbar button that launches a form, does some work on the open document, and then can be closed. Is anything like that possible?

Also, I'm also not entirely certain what an "add-on" is -- is that the way to go? I've looked over the Table-Styling-Docker on the Corel website, but that doesn't explain how to launch code from a .dll. Is there some way of using AppUI.xslt file to launch code in a dll instead?

As a workaround, I know I can make a separate program altogether that references an existing CorelDRAW instance, but that's not quite what users are used to.

I'm comfortable with c#/.Net and the Corel object model (through VBA), but I can't figure out how to make them work together.

Thank you.

Default try a plugin

You can write a plugin (C++) that would only be used to call the C# app. I do this with my products which are hybrids. A plugin puts a button on the toolbar then calls a DLL that does most of the work.

I have sample projects posted here:
