Default Contour Cut Line for Digital prints

How difficult would it be to implement a function that will generate a hairline contour line at user-specified distances? This "contour line" is used for generating a cut-line for digital prints requiring a contour cut. This of course can already be done with a combination of steps, but a more automated function would be quite nice. I usually do it using both the interactive contour, giving that "no fill" then giving that a hairline outline. The cut line is sometimes within the object or outside and is usually like .03 -.06 either way (but not always). Ideas?

Default Contour Cut

Wanted to let you know I am working on a solution for you, just been swamped with work. Hopefully I can finish it up this weekend, and get it posted for you. Sorry for the delay.
