Text and color styles

Is there a way to create a new text style or edit existing one using vba? I wrote a macro, which generates some text and I want it styled automatically.

Question 2: How will I get rid of unused color styles using vba? Sometimes I receive cdr files with hundreds of color styles which makes them very slow to process.
