Default ::LayerControl:: macro for FAST layer management in CorelDraw

key shortcuts are given for example. These are similar to Photoshop's

LayerPrevious, LayerNext - Alt [, Alt ] - activate next/prev layer
LayerMoveUp, LayerMoveDown - Ctrl [ , Ctrl ] - move active layer higher/lower in layers stack
LayerFromSelected - cretae new layer with selected objects . New layer is placed above active and gets "+" in the end of layer's name
SelectLayerShapes - (key "A") selects all shapes on selected shape(s') layer(s)
SelectLayer - active layer of active shape
MoveShapesToCurrentLayer - moves selected shapes to active layer
MergeLayersToCurrent - merges layers of selected shapes to active layer
LabelLayer - (Ctrl . ) rename active shape's layer (or active layer if no shape is sel'd)
DeleteLayer - remove layer of active shape (or active layer if no shape is sel'd)
toggleLayerAutoActivation - toggles auto activation of selected shape's layer

GroupAndSaveLayers - groups shapes saving layer info in shapes' properties
UnGroupAndAssignLayers.... - smart ungroup selected group shapes and restore original layers for shapes groupped with GroupAndSaveLayers[indent]UnGroupAndAssignLayersSkip - smart ungroup and place shapes with non-existent layer to active layer
UnGroupAndAssignLayersOne - smart ungroup and place orphaned shapes to single layer "From deleted layers"
UnGroupAndAssignLayersCreateAll - recreates missing layers (in no particular order as this info is not saved now in shapes' properties and btw is it worth trying?)

Tips:
1. Current layer name is visible in CorelDraw application caption (title of main window). Don't forget to UNCHECK Tools->Options->VBA->DelayLoadVBA
2. When autoactivation of shape's layer is selected: in order to perform merging you should of course first select shapes to move and last shape to select is shape on target layer, then go merge

Unpack zip with gms to C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\Draw\GMS\
For Corel 12: C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Graphics 12\Draw\GMS\
Attached Files
File Type: zip showLayer.zip (20.5 KB, 1026 views)
