HI, I am hugely frustrated. I am running Win 2K pro, using a Xerox Phaser 7300 laser printer and Corel Draw 10, 12 or X3 printing on glossy stock and all colors except yellow are out of registration. I have tried different computers, fresh software installs with new documents (in case there was a corrupted file) and even a new printer - all with the same results. Corel blames Xerox, Xerox blames Corel and in the end my document is still out of registration. This does NOT happen on plain paper. And the same document prints fine on glossy stock on other printers.
I am hoping there is a setting someplace that I have missed that will resolve this. I ran all the above for 18 months with no problem. I even took a fresh computer that has Windows 2000 SP3 installed (in case the issue was SP4) with only Draw 10 and the Phaser printer installed - same thing. ANY help will be greatly appreciated! Out of curiosity, have you tried printing from a .pdf made from your file. Does it solve the problem?
Can you set the paper at the Phaser, rather than telling DRAW to do it? It may not be communicating the paper properly. Last edited by sallybode; 26-05-2006 at 21:45. |

Thanks and yes. I have tried PDF files. I even tried jpg files through Photoshop and the problem continues. I failed to mention that the paper size is 12 x 18 glossy stock and the problem occurs 1/2 way down the page. But not on plain paper which makes me think mechanical...until the same thing happens on a different (yet same model) printer.

You are right - I tried the photoshop option at the recommendation of another corel user. This problem does not occur in a document created Word but does happen in Corel, Photoshop and even the trial download of Illustrator.
Sorry to bother - my problem originated in Corel and I use it constantly so I tried here after trying every place else. Thanks for your time!! Last edited by joan; 29-05-2006 at 16:10. |

Some papers are actually incompatible and stick to the roller because the fusing process gets so hot. Perhaps you can check and see if the paper is recommended for this printer. I have experienced this before.
