Export editable text to Photoshop?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there's a way of exporting a PSD from CorelDraw 12, but retaining editable text? I've tried exporting as an AI too (which imports into Photoshop) but that doesn't even maintain layers.

Also (related to this) if I create a Coreldraw page of 720pixels x 576pixels (and using the whole page), when I come to export as PSD, Coreldraw thinks the "100%" size of the image should be just 540x432 pixels. Does anyone know why this should be?

Haven't tried this myself, but have you tried exporting to EPS? There is an option to convert text to paths or uncheck to leave as text.

Yep - tried it, doesn't work. It seems that neither the AI nor EPS maintains layers or editable text when bringing into Photoshop. AI is especially weird, since the layers *are* preserved when opening in Adobe Illustrator itself.

Anyone any other suggestions? Maybe there's a VBA workaround?

I believe you would need to take the CDR file without text into PAINT then add the text and save as as PSD. Too complicated I just do it all in Draw and open the Draw file in PAINT and create the image. You can always refer back to the DRAW file for editing.
