We have been using Corel Draw 10 for designing and cutting signage for about 12 months. Our previous program was one called Signus by Wilenco. Needless to say, it got outdated very quickly and could not run on the newer computers and impossible after Windows 2000 was released.
We seem to have problems with the kerneing between some characters - especially in the halvett/Swiss fonts. Space between certain letters is unaturally large, and reducing space between all text reduces all space evenly. I'd prefer not to Break artistic text or convert to curves and move individually. Does anybody else have this problem? Also, has anybody demoed the new Corel Draw 12! Thanks for looking and hopefully numerous helpfull repliles! :?[/img] |

When you are done typing your text and you determine that a few letters need to be moved, click on the node editing tool (the one under the selection tool) and select the text. You will notice a little tiny square to the left of each letter. Click and hold on this square and it allows you to move each letter individually. For added precision, hold down the CTRL key while you are dragging the letter to constrain its X or Y axis.
