Yes, it's already done and is currently going through its testing paces... Should be available within a day or two.

Default Jig saw export...

Alex:

I downloaded the trial version and really like it! Good work!

Is there a way to export a finished jigsaw page that will allow the repondent to move the parts around and "solve" the puzzle?

Thanks!

Hal,

You can do this in CorelDRAW. Just ungroup the design and you will have individual pieces. You can then shuffle them and move them back to create the image again.

However obviously there is no ready solution to have a stand-alone jigsaw puzzle game by just exporting CorelDRAW document to any existing format. Some programming will be required to make this happen, of course...

Default Exporting

Thanks for the quick reply Alex...

I can now export the "pieces" where I have placed them in Draw -- but, I would like to send them out as a Flash or equivalent set of objects that could be moved around. Like a "live" jigsaw puzzle. I can always make up a "puzzle" and print it with the instructions to th recipient to cut the pieces out at there edges and see the completed picture. I was just hoping there might be a way to make an electronic jigsaw puzzle. Application might be a party invitation or such...

Hal,

You can export the thing to Flash from CorelDRAW, however it will be static, just like in Draw itself. All the nice animated interactive flash games you see are done my actually writing code to respond to those various user inputs. You can't just make flash file behave like a live jigsaw puzzle simply because you export graphic looking like jigsaw puzzle pieces

Well, too bad that ability doessn't exist. I'm going to suggest to my client that we make up an "invitation", seperate it by using Jig Saw macro and print it up. Then send the product to invitees with a small scissors... Should be unique.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm a former CTech guy and beta tester for Corel...
