CorelDraw 8 error in DLL file - help !!! cannot open!!!

Hi

The platform on my pc is Windows ME. CorelDraw 8 has been working fine, till today.

When I wanted to open, I got the error message:
"CorelDraw has caused an error in CRLUI80.DLL
Coreldraw will now be closed.
Should the problems persist, restart the computer"

So I restarted and got the same message.

I have uninstalled CD8 and reinstalled it but still cannot open.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

Try resetting your workspace by holding down F8 while launching CorelDRAW.

I would uninstall it again, reboot your system and then search for folders with "Corel" in them and delete them in case some files are left over after uninstall. Then reinstall.

If this doesn't help, I would look closer to your OS/hardware configuration (primarily display settings [screen resolution, font settings, color depth], video driver [get the latest driver from the vendor?], and so on)...

Obviously something went out of whack but I don't think anybody could help you much remotely without actually being able to get their hands on your system...

Your suggestion did the trick!

I deleted both the program via uninstaller and looked for remaining
Corel files (quite a lot!!) and deleted these as well.
After reinstalling the program runs like a dream!!
