Corel Freezing during an automation

During my automation, corel often (but not always) locks up on certain tasks.
The freeze can last many minutes and sometimes just a few seconds.
I noticed as well that when I run Corel in the background, it often locks up.
When I allow Corel to be a visible window, it rarely locks up.

Another thing, I was experiencing the bug where when the window was visible, a task would freeze until I moved the mouse.
(I found a breif mention of this bug on this thread but could not find any more information on it).
I figured the two bugs where the same, but they might not be.

Alex mentioned that it was a bug in CorelDRAW9.0 that was fixed in 11+ so I upgraded to CorelDRAW12 with SP1 and I am experiencing the same bugs.
It doesn't really make sense to me why it would sometimes work, and also why it would almost never work when the window was hidden.

[edit: Forgot to mention that Im not using VB but Java with an additional package that allows java to communicate with COM objects,
this also could be part of the problem, but Im hoping its a Corel Issue]

I'm sorry to say that you are right! The bug was fixed in v11 and then apparently mysteriously creeped back into v12... I did some tests on v12 and X3 and both of these version have the same problem

I have reported this as a bug and we'll have to wait for it to be fixed... I wouldn't hold my breath for the fix in v12 but X3 might be a possibility...

Sorry, I can't offer a real help other than going back to v11 for now...

I'm having some of the same problems in X3 with tasks freezing up out of the blue and the the same issue with things stopping until you move the mouse. We need these fixed soon! I know it's hard to track as there does not seem to be a consistant way to reproduce them.

I heard that automation calls stopping until moving mouse/using keyboard will be fixed in the next service release of CGS X3... So a bit of patience...

Thanks Alex! I'm sure it's you doing the fix. That one does get frustrating.
