PP12 slow startup problem

Photo-Paint 12 has suddenly begun taking about 3 minutes to launch, then hangs completely.

During display of the splash screen, "Initializing color management system" is shown for the duration of the 2 minute delay, then it completes launching quickly. After that, any action (such as selecting a menu item) causes it to hang completely.

The program has been running fine for years, usually starting in seconds.

I tried the Add/Remove - Repair option, but no difference.

I'm wondering if there is any advice before I try a complete uninstall/reinstall?

CorelDraw on the same system works fine.

Have you tried resetting the Workspace? Hold F8 when starting Photopaint, you should see a prompt to reset.
