Have anyone used the Thumbnailer for CGS 12 for EPS files? The problem comes because CorelDRAW has two different approaches towards EPS files, one as to import the EPS as a link, and place just a bitmap preview (and if there is no TIFF of WMV heather in the EPS file there is no preview at all - just a grey rectangle), and another as to render the EPS as a vector graphic.
The thumbnailer for CD12 says Corel to use the EPS filter instead of the PS, PRN, EPS filter and the result is that when one is trying to make thumbnails of EPS files with no heather, all you can get is pages full of grey rectangles. The script for CorelDRAW 9 worked fine dor such EPS files. Alex, please would you fix that? Thanks, Vallentin |

Vallentin,
Thumbnailer doesn't use any specific filter to import files. Instead it uses CorelDRAW's autosense technilogy to determine what format the file is in, and import it. EPS is one of the formats which can be processed by several filters and CorelDRAW picks the first matching filter in the filter list. If you want EPS files to be imported using PS Interpreted filter, do the following:
This will make the interpreted postscript filter the default one for EPS file format. I hope this helps. |
