Link Text as external Text

How can we link the text or doc file externally as of externally linked image so as to use and edit fast for file larger in size , so that every time we open a document it reads from externally linked file.

but consider an update in a text file (may be .rtf, .doc, etc.) and then its update links to a paragraph text automatically whenever you open your document in coreldraw.

using paragraph is good it can be sized in coreldraw to design according to layout or any shape of paragraph text... which cannot be done with ole object

True dynamic CorelDraw documents would be awesome!
I think this is what you are looking for but the feature is not there ...yet.

However. You might be able to use the open event which looks for a certain shape, paragraph or artist text in this case, and updates it based on a file read by the macro.

Example. Upon opening a document the Open event code runs. Code first looks for shape named "update_me". If found then set it as s.
You could have, say, a text file on your desktop named "myText.txt"

If not s is nothing then
Read your myText.txt file and compare with s.text.story.chars.all
If different then update.

yes you are right.. "the Dynamic Document" what i really need is this feature that is linking image & text externaly to keep size of corel files low as possible which continuosly hangs in windows 7 and my files get corrupt....

also linking effect and exporting effects while publishing file....
