Default Corel X3 - object properties bar absolute/relative position issue

I am trying to learn how to use Corel Draw.

Generally, I can get Corel to do what I want, but my current issue with it is that the properties bar is only showing the x-y position of an object in relative terms. That would be useful if I wanted to move it by a certain amount that I enter. I usually I want to use absolute terms though, so that if I say I want the center to be at 1,1, it will move it to that part of the page, 1" away from each edge of the upper left corner. Right now, it's always showing 0,0 no matter where it is on the page.

How do I set the properties bar into absolute measure? I've looked everywhere that I can think to look, I can't find a setting. When I first installed the program, the properties bar was in absolute mode, but now, it's stuck in relative mode and I don't know how to switch it back.

Default Reset Workspace

I would reset the workspace back to the default settings. While launching CorelDRAW press your F8 key, you will be prompted to reset.

Good luck,

Shelby

That did reset it. Thank you. Is there any known way to switch between absolute and relative in that properties tool bar?

Yes, there is. It's not really a very intuitive way of doing it, but what you are going to do...

Select an object, then select Free Transform Tool (last one in the second flyout in the Toolbox, where the Node Edit Tool is). With this tool selected, the option will be the last in the property bar. See attached screenshot.

OK, thanks. I had to add that tool to the toolbar to do that. I don't remember ever seeing it there.
