Default background transparency

hello

Here some questions of one theme.
which common types of exported files let a transparent background ?.
How can I set the background to be transparent ?.

your help will be really apreciated

.eps
.tif
.psd
.pdf (editing)
these should all hold transparency if checked when exporting.

.TGA (targa files)
.Gif
.CPT
File > Export......
Depending On which format you choose to export with, the dialogue will look different. The formats that support alpha channels should offer a simple check box to include transparent backround, in the export window dialogue.
If It Doesnt, that format probably doesnt support transparency.
(Of course, if what you are exporting has a solid background and you choose selected only in the export dialogue with transparency checked, It will appear to be solid.)
