Converting Scanned Line Art To Manipulatable Paths

hi all, i have to assume it's possible to convert scanned line art to maniputable paths, but i can't seem to figure out how. i've played with corel trace, but can't seem to pull it off. any advice? thanks : )

When any trace is finished, it is grouped, in order to manipulate it, you need to ungroup or ungroup all. Then you have all the node access you want.
