Default Keeping track of nodes

When using VBA to manipulate nodes, what is Corel Draw's internal logic wrt the nodes in a curve, and what is the "best practice" for keeping track of the nodes one is interested in?

I've already found out the hard way that if I create a node variable and assign a node to it, then the node referred to by that variable will sometimes change when I add nodes, delete nodes, or break apart nodes elsewhere in the curve.

Nodes are very tricky. I found the best way is to put nodes you want into and array. Please their x and y coordinates in the array. Then use SelectNodeAtPoint. This is a great way to beat the limitations of the nodeRange, multiple shapes, and the other weird things that happen when working with nodes.
